Guild World

This is the world that's just outside Houcm Planet's gravitational range, which houses all the guilds. The planet isn't huge, but it's plenty big enough for its guilds and tons of battlefield in between, to the point that things would still be comfortable if more guilds were added. In case you hadn't noticed by now, you're supposed to click here to get the list of regions on the planet with their pictures and descriptions. If you see an icon that indicates that a forum has subforums, there are subregions in that region, so check those out, too.

  • Hutaudvale
    Image
This valley lies in the center of the Jden Sol Snowcaps, right where one would expect a frozen lake. A mysterious light envelopes the land at all times, day or night, and keeps the place atypically warm and verdant. Perhaps the thermal anomaly is related to that of its bordering mountains.

These mountains encircle the Hutaudvale and are the northern border to all the other regions. They are more than far enough below 0 at night, but, strangely enough, much colder in the day. The reasons for this are yet to be determined.

  • Cyclone Tundra
    Image
This tundra is desolate even from most snow creatures for a reason: Its winds have an unpleasant tendency to spin about and whip into massive avalanche-tornadoes, which are as bad as they sound and worse. The guilds have to constantly watch to see that a stray squall doesn't happen their way, and to be prepared when one does.

Don't slip and fall, else you'll seem to fall forever. Even if you land in the underground river, you'll hit it so hard that it'll probably knock you out. At least there's enough footing for most normal people, so it's a safe enough path for transition between the Cyclone Tundra and the Fogsea Wasteland . . . Rather, it would be, but the somewhat narrow (just wide enough for a small group to stand side-by-side) way is plagued by monsters, of course.

  • Fogsea Wasteland
    Image
This moist wasteland has a small sea that is constantly evaporating into fog, then condensing back into itself. Visibility is always an issue. Typically, a humid area is full of plantlife. It's unclear exactly why this is an exception, but the most commonly accepted theory is that some of the monsters are overly predatory to plants.

  • Sacucasu
    Image
This guild-city lies just on the border of the Fogsea Wasteland and the Razibiju Sand Ocean. Here, the Grigori runs a practical merchant city that makes most of its money off real estate, armor trade, and weapons trade. Given its location, one may be surprised to learn that it has only a few vehicle shops. The gates are classically left open around the clock, but they can be readily closed in case of emergency.

  • Festive Arena
    Image
Located some distance under Sacucasu, people here enjoy mostly battle-related festivities and the respective profits. Aside from the combat and well-regulated gambling, other contests, concerts, and parties are held, and all that one can imagine occurs. Even despite the occasional death, this is the most festive place in the known universe.

  • Razibiju Sand Ocean
    Image
As though traversing such an expansive desert wasn't a menacing enough concept on its own, this one moves. The underground plates beneath the planetary surface on which this desert presides shift erratically, sending surface waves throughout the sand to make it shift as though it was the water of an ocean. Yes, it's basically a desert with constant earthquakes that make the ground a fun house.

  • Sandstone Hollows
    Image
A barren savanna with likewise unornamented mountains lies just east of the Razibiju Sand Ocean and west of the Cyclone Tundra. The mountains are said to be hollow, but are incredibly difficult to dig in, so just who would discover such a thing and name the lands as such?

  • Aesthesia
    Image
South of the Cyclone Tundra and Everdrop Caverns lies the guild in the Dead Zone. Its grey theme acts as both a contrast to and an open canvas for the artistic abilities of those that will fill it; this is the guild of aesthetic fighting. Those that sing, dance, draw, paint, sculpt, sew, juggle, tell stories, and otherwise perform their ways to victory will find that Learpabru, with K's help, designed a perfect guild for them. Its dorms are mostly along the path that lies between it and the conjunction of the regions to the north.

  • Onion Meadow
    Image
This is the meadow that the pikmin onions land in. It was momentarily cleared of foes, then monoliths were placed to deter enemies from immediately flooding back in, which is not to say that there are no creatures to be found; quite a few can be seen coming in from the dark mountains that surround the meadow daily. People come here to get their onions and start their armies of pikmin with the help of the Pikmaster. Ironically, the ground here is horrible for planting onions, as well as anything else that grows underground. Its location is just south of the Fogsea Wasteland.

  • Dead Zone
    Image
The entire lower 35% or so of the planet is an empty, hostile wasteland. Reports from some particularly resilient warriors state that dead bodies have been found underground here, suggesting that some creatures, a secret society, or something else uses the area as a great graveyard. The contents of the atmosphere around this area aren't entirely consistent, but it can be safely assumed that most of it is composed of very little oxygen, almost no Mist, and a great mass of Miasma. According to reports, the monsters are worse than the air. Anyone who's less than Lv4 can expect to survive for less than a minute.
