Character Gov't
Re: Character Gov't
-sigh- Komo, I don't think that you read me correctly... To begin, the nations thing is already discussed. They will be character-built. We were not talking about nations, anymore. I mentioned ESC'S NATIONS because I was telling you that my idea for OUR GUILDS resembled them; the attainment some sort of ability aspect for joining. Follow? If you don't get it, call me, and I'll explain it over the phone.
Secondly, I said that I shouldn't be the only one thinking; I didn't say that I always am, but I have been. I have to pester you two an awful lot to get you to give some input, then you just say something along the lines of, 'Meh, whatever is cool with you guys is cool by me.' It's kinda' rude, man. You gotta' help me with this site; I'm only one wierdo, so I can't always determine what's best for everyone.
I said that the joining test was something to consider; did I not? I did. So, why do you like the idea so much? I mean, it's not like the aspects will sway the tides of battle; a Lv1 is a Lv1 is a Lv1, no matter how many weapons or abilities they have. Noah may have some choice armor, a couple of great weapons, and more abilities than people can count, but he's equal to Saiyah, whom has only a couple things in her inventory and only a handful of abilities. You know as well as I that the warrior makes the warrior, not the sword (presuming that said sword is fair), so giving a warrior a different sword is not necessarily giving him an advantage; it's just giving him something new and different, adding versatility. Did you think that a test would be necessary because said aspects would be significant improvements, or what?
Now, what's this about excessive stat boosts for one guild, but crap for another? Mean you to disbalance the guilds, or punish those who would switch guilds? Guild-switching is not to be punished or discouraged in any manner; it's just annoying to switch someone's guild once per week or some such nonsense. There's a difference between guild-switching and guild-hopping; the former is fine and a choice that should be available to the characters, while the latter is the abuse of the former privelege. How does this have anything to do with training?

For training im thinking that is how you would learn new moves and such and well maybe regulating guild flow and stuff like that help too...hmm im thinking way over my head but i am not discouraged and will continue to think or else ill end up like Caboose!
I'm going to pretend that you spoke English, there. Meanwhile, maybe you can tell me about how the training thing is at all relevant? I mean, we already planned for characters to be able to train inside and outside guilds for higher stats and abilities...
Regulating guild flow? Care to expound?

Well u got training part down which was i trying to say but couldnt say correctly. As for regulation i mean like but a limit to how many days a person can join a guild after joining another guild. Just so there is not too much traffic, follow? Thats basically what im getting at
Training: That was already planned, bro. xD 'Sides, it's irrelevant.
Guilds: Like I said, guild-switching = okay; guild-hopping = annoying. We won't really make an official rule about it, but if someone gets excessive about it, we can just have some storyline mishap occur to keep that character somewhat tied-down for a bit, such as 'Oh, there's this big guild project with all the previous members who will be around anytime in the next week, so you won't be able to get any Level Challenges and you'll get some delayed training for about a week... Sorry.'
Now, back to determining what the guilds will look like, be named, what the ideas behind them will be, et cetera.

Hmm...well then i need a basis for each guild so i can decide on a name right away so chop chop *snaps fingers*
You have a brain, too, smartass. Must I hold your hand for everything? I've got news; I'm not taking you to the bathroom. You, either, Emmy *cough*RAEP*cough*. You saw the plan for what one guild will look like. My general idea behind it is for an agility/mobility/stealth guild, one that's all about getting around quickly with ease to such a degree that enemies can't get a lock on you even if you're in the same building in the middle of the day. I'm about to show you another idea that I have in Y!M (since I can't put the pictures here, yet), but I NEED YOUR BLOODY THOUGHTS.Now, back to determining what the guilds will look like, be named, what the ideas behind them will be, et cetera.

Im giving thoughts dammit so shush shush! hmmm it could be called Moonshifters or Moonscryers or Lunardividers....hmm somewhere around there....
I'm talking about a mobility guild that looks like an irrigation system that had a seizure in the middle of a verdant valley, and he's calling it lunar names. Yeah, we're totally coordinated. *shot*

well when its about stealth and agility we are gunna call it Heavy Waters yea smart move -_- ANYWAYS! I think about the names Water Shadows or Valley Stalkers...
Not quite what I had in mind, but something to be considered. I rather like the idea of names being more... community-like, such as Aesthesia, rather than something of a team name, but... something to be considered...
Oh, look; an idea! Oh, there it goes.
Mobility in the valley: Lucco
Hermetics in the desert: Xuten
I translated some stuff, knocked some letters away, and that's what I got. I like them, personally, but do they seem to be apt, to you?

Xuten seems all mysterious and filled with knowledge while Lucco sounds like something u find at a hispanic resturant that tastes especially delicious *mouth waters*
