Suspicious Company

Image
Though this is such a green, bright meadow, it is so barren of life beyond the grass. Not a single structure, not a thing at all is here except that one great tree in the center. Its size contributes to the feeling of emptiness that it incites. While non-grass plants can be magically made to grow here and creatures do travel through, nothing really seems to stick.

*Laola heard what he meant . . . She wasn't sure how to go about it, though, since that would've been fine with the old plan, but her little pillar trick . . . Well, wait, she could fix that . . . Would that work? Maybe . . .*

If a flower tries to absorb you, let it . . .

*She gave no further explanation as she shot at the spineys as they were knocked aside, further throwing them off-course, so that they'd take a little more time to get to her. She then continued to shoot at the giant lakitu while focusing part of her energy into regrowing the vine pillar and part of it to sending a couple vines out from where she was standing at that point.*

_The foe revolved again to its left, which meant that tG's move would take him far away from the target. It also meant that Laola would have a tough time shooting it, but a couple shots would hit. At this point, it reeled backward through the air, then again turned red with rage. It then twirled in place, generating an electric field around it that zapped oncoming seed shots to dust while launching four supercharged spineys, two for each fighter. After stopping, the cloud bastard tossed four spineys to Laola, then revolved yet again to its left._

the General would pulse his jets again propelling him in the direction the Lakita was going to be in. Before he did so he would release the tethers that were attatched to the hammerhead missiles. He would on his way to the Lakita repeat his missile flight stratagy. After the trek with the Lilith the General was for sure going to build a place to stay at and work on upgrading his outdated technologies.

((Lakitu. Tu. T-U. Toooooooo.))

*After the electric spineys hit, Laola moved away from them and cast a few skills, putting other growth on hold to take care of herself.*

Aconitum, Erica, Dahlia, Malva . . .

*The plants became more resilient and poisonous while sprouting flowers all over, which then blossomed profusely and began to shoot large seeds, nailing the spineys from below. Laola then backed away slowly while focusing mainly on shooting the giant lakitu, growing more vines, and restoring the shocked vine pillar.*

_Four more spineys were thrown to Laola, then the big lakitu was just about to move when a missile slammed into it, since the seed shots had been delaying it a bit. This meant that tG probably had the chance to get some hits in . . . probably._

As his hammerhead missile collided with it. the General would follow. In close range he was boss. Spinning his blade around with quite some speed he would let the main handle go ejecting the Shell Blade. As the shell blade flew out from the Core Blade he would fire off two Metaphysical Energy Missiles. and follow with a volley of Ice Shards from the core Blade. After which he would be left wide open for attack as his only means of defense were his metal legs.

((You say that you're so good at close-range combat, but you used attacks that are medium-long range. Wow.))

Peony . . .

*Taking tG's lead, Laola was absorbed into a flower that she stood over, then came out of the flower at the end of the vine that was growing closest to the target. During this process, she had made the vine grow upward, so she had a little height to go from. Why? Just behind her, a small chunk of the ground flew toward the enemy, so Laola's light body was easily able to ride atop it for some distance, then perform a backflipping High Jump off it, after which she used an Aerial Dodge to help her make the distance, then made a combo of her own. She shot three seeds at the foe while flying toward it, then frontflipped while transforming her legs into her tail for a downward tail whip, after which she'd change back and backflip kick off the foe to land on a flower.*

Peony . . .

*She returned to some distance away from where she was, so that the spineys would die before reaching her.*

((I'm debating whether or not this should be considered as an infringement on the rule against low-Level teleportation . . . Of course, it's not like there can be no exceptions . . . Hrm . . .))

_The overgrown lakitu threw a tantrum, red with anger, after spinning in a forward manner without actually moving. After pounding its cloud a couple times, it surrounded itself with lightning and started shooting another storm beneath its cloud down to the ground, then moved forth, which meant that tG had no immediately apparent way to get away in time. Of course, there was one way out, but he'd have to think quickly to come up with the right answer in time . . ._

the General would forcivly flip upside down and fire his jets at maximum thrust to push himself with as much speed as he could muster for the ground. As he was falling his tethers would get struck with lighting reducing them to ashes. Not being metal they wouldnt cunduct worth shit. But still being the closest object to the lighting they would get struck. His Shell Blade would fly back for the General hand aiming to unify itself with the Core Blade. Upon doing so it would have to travek between the path of cloud guy which could with sheer luck be a direct hit. The giant beast had brushed off all those attacks with ease.

the General would on his way down fire off 4 flash missiles using most of the,as cover from the lighting so hopefully 1 or 2 might hit the cloud guy.

Peony . . . Yarrow . . .

*Presuming that tG had listened to Laola's advice from before, the flower that he fell onto would absorb him and take him to one of the flowers that would put him right in front of Laola. All the flowers that they (or she, if he hadn't consented to the absorption) were standing above then shot small beams of a healing energy, restoring some of the fighters' (or fighter's) health. Laola used a Quick Run to get to her now restored pillar of flowery vines, then High jumped up onto it. She slithered around the spike at its top. Once the rampaging lakitu had drawn somewhat near, she pushed back on the spike by growing it that way and shifting her weight, switching her tail back to legs once she could get a safe footing, then released, High Jumping off the spike as it acted like a slingshot, launching her far. At the apex, she Aerial Dodged and Quick Ran to get more distance, putting the spike to the lakitu's right of its path and Laola far to the left. Her exact intents were unclear, but she must have been doing it correctly, as far as she thought, because she simply stood there with her arm ready to shoot from the flower buster while she put energy into the spike to spread it out into something of a tree, or that was what it was trying for, at least.*

_The lakitu's lightning blew the missiles apart like nothing, continuing to surge downward as the cloud-rider advanced. The General would either get the fuck shocked outta' him if he hadn't let Laola's trick work for him, or he'd be about to have the fuck shocked outta' him, if he didn't move. The squall just about vaporized the vines on the ground that were in the way, too. Partway through the rampage, the giant lakitu spun about to drop four more spineys, and the move didn't stop until the foe was on the opposite side of the central point of the battlefield (from the beginning)._

As the General hit the ground with quite some speed Laola's trick would indeed work.
Having not taken much damge the healing effect wasn't able to do much more than restore som
power to hiis regenerative nano tar binding tethers healing them. the General would look around the battle field and watch to see where the spiney was going. He wouldent do much for now. Obviously he needed some bigger artillary. He would then draw the Xingxton spiral energy laser that his Gening would normally use. The behemothing weapons was so dam heavy it required the General be kneeling and even that was difficult. It was meant for a battle arour afterall. He would have the barrle start spinning letting it slowly gather energy.

((Um . . . Firstly, you can't just draw a weapon of your allies whenever you want, especially when that weapon was only allowed for that ally to protect itself when someone decided to fuck with its recon missions . . . Secondly, you do realize that you just stood there and took the attack, right? The underscores are space, the equal signs are vines, and the lakitu is moving leftward while shooting lightning down:

G========__________L

So, yeah, if you don't move toward or away from the screen (to your left or right), you're hit . . .))

((Immediate harm's way, yes. Think of it like this, with G as you, E as the enemy, L as Laola, underscores as space, hypens as ground, and F as the flower that caught you:
Before:
_________________________GE
_________________________
_________________________
L----------------------------------F

Then:
__________________________E
_________________________
_________________________G
L----------------------------------F

After:
___________________E
___________________
___________________
LG------------------------

Now:
________________E
________________
________________
G---------------------

Laola moved toward the screen. The pillar is slightly away from the screen, about in line with G and L. Problem? E is moving left . . . somewhat rapidly. Unless G goes over E, toward the screen, away from the screen, or something else, he's standing there to get fried . . .))
