Smooth Sailing?

‾▿‾After settling down from their laughing fit, Tori and Nadia faced forward and Glyphus ascended a few hundred meters above the sea. Actually, we should try a little harder to be safe from whatever was in those blasted "waters," if that's what they really are, so they ascended about four hundred meters above. That should do it. Hopefully, the skies will be a bit more welcoming, they both thought. Nadia changed the tune.‾▿‾

Crevasseus, still unconscious, did nothing save twitch every now and again.

*_A couple miles forward and a few degrees starboard, a bunch of wingull and two pelipper could be seen swirling around a spot of the sea. They were making a normal level of noise and didn't seem to be at all jittery. Tori would notice if they were._*

‾▿‾The ladies exchanged expressions. Without a word, Tori took their agreement into action. They steered clear of the point of interest, veering approximately fifty degrees to port, then cycling around so that they would be headed straight toward the village to the north after a while, never coming within three hundred meters of the mentioned area, laterally, without augmenting their altitude at all. Back home, Tori would be pretty confident and carefree about being able to escape any danger that this might forebode, but, as a result of both escorting a guest and being in a foreign land, she wanted to minimize risks.‾▿‾

[Crevasseus]

Crevasseus stirred and threw up, still passed out.

Oh, shit!

Is he- Nonononononono!

‾▿‾Fortunately, if Tori is anything, she's fast. Not wanting the distinct pleasure of having vomit on her mount . . . or friend, or self, for that matter . . . she identified the signs of a man who was about to hurl, picked him up and held him underneath the arms, and dangled him midair behind Glyphus, letting him regurgitate cleanly so that the rubbish would fall into the sea below. Well, hopefully. Tori watched carefully as she positioned the messy man back onto her mount, spending a little mana to wipe his mouth with wind. If something came out of the water and caught the crud, Tori wanted to know how quickly to flee. She gave an exasperated sigh as she took her previous place.‾▿‾

Well, that escalated quickly.

Mm-hmm.

‾▿‾Their eyes were split between being attentive to the bird orbit, the area behind them, and just any troubles across the sea. Black waters are unsettling enough, but a foreboding omen and a couple unpleasant experiences made them quite wary.‾▿‾

[NPA]

_Not much happened over where the bird pokémon were cycling. Well, except that something that looked like the front half of a blue whale, minus the blowhole, green, and with a magenta underbelly, rose out of the water and swallowed the entire mass of waterfowl whole. That's a thing, I guess. That wasn't creepy enough on its own, though. Oh, no. The pokémon didn't even react. They didn't make any noise. They didn't alter their orbits at all. They just . . . waited for it. Also, way off to the west, a twister of what looked like pink fire came out of nowhere, then dissipated, and some person in yellow robes was left in its wake, standing on the water. The figure then headed southward, running- Oh, wait, nope. Not running. More like . . . skating. It was skateboarding without a board. Yes, on the water. Its robes caught enough wind that the lower half could be identified as . . . a pair of very dark blue, baggy pants. Anyway, this person casually skate-glide-whatever-ed toward the Chaos Beach. The big-ass sea monster receded into the waters as though nothing had happened. Yup._

[Crevasseus]

Still in coma-land, Crevasseus dreamed. The dreams were terrifying, to say the very least. Crevasseus, for the past thirty-eight years, has been plagued by viscous night terrors due to the images of death and horror he committed onto other people while he still had eyesight.

*groaning noise*"He comes for me . . ." *Grumble-murmer-grumble* ". . . finish what he started . . ." *whimper* " . . . destroy the last of the league."

‾▿‾Tori and Nadia looked at the . . . Well, they looked at all the crap that was going on. Tori pointed at where the sea creature was while Nadia pointed at Crevasseus.‾▿‾

Um . . .

Was that-

‾▿‾Tori pointed at the robed person while Nadia pointed at where the sea creature was.‾▿‾

I don't think-

‾▿‾Tori pointed at Crevasseus, and Nadia pointed at the robed dudebro.‾▿‾

‾▿‾The girls simultaneously burst into a giggle-fit, continuing to try to mumble their way to questions that neither of them had the answers to, obviously. Really, it sounded about like a call between six girls. Have you ever been on the phone with more than one or two girls simultaneously? It's just a bunch of giggling and gibberish. Seriously. Eventually, they calmed themselves enough to converse a bit, not that there was much to say about . . . um . . . whatever all that was.‾▿‾

He said something about being hunted as the last of some league, right?

It sounded like that.

Does this seem like a good idea? You know, with us escorting him?

Maybe. This whole damned dimension has me on edge, so maybe we're being overly cautious.

I thought that, too. We'll just have to find out, huh?

‾▿‾They nodded in affirmation.‾▿‾

[Crevasseus]

Crevasseus' dream continued. It was painful and violent. It was distorted with the memories, the visions, the screams, and the man that killed the other members of The League of Nine. Crevasseus would remember the name until his death; Krane Jantsen. The man unrelentlessly hunted Crevasseus since he was sixteen.

"N-n-n-no," he mournfully mumbled, still asleep.

‾▿‾This ride had gotten very awkward very quickly. Nadia couldn't totally remedy that, but she helped.‾▿‾

Crevasseus awoke, but barely.

"What's that smell? Where are we?"

‾▿‾They pondered not how to answer, but if they even should. Tori readied herself to react to whatever spastic thing Crevasseus might do next. She also cast Nightingale on herself again. She intended to prepare herself with Feather Coat before entering the village, so she hadn't bothered to heal up earlier, but a little caution before the strange man goes berserk may be in order.‾▿‾

We're almost to the village.

[Crevasseus]

"Good, I may need to see a doctor about these." he pointed in the general direction of his eyes for a moment. "I . . . I'm sorry. Where I'm from not many people use flight to get around. I panicked. I've never flown before. I hope you all could forgive my actions."

He bowed his head in shame. Great first impression to a new dimension genius, his thoughts screamed.

Oh, no worries. We actually got some good laughs out of it.

It's quite the opposite, where we're from. You've really never flown before?

‾▿‾Nadia fixed the tune to something more appropriate to the situation. Well, the meaning of the song wasn't very fitting, but the tune was good for dialogue and stuff, so, you know . . .‾▿‾
