Expendables (Ammo, Potions and Such, Et Cetera)

These will have to be recorded in inventories. Take Leilani as an example. During a battle, she conserves ammo by using ammo-free attacks frequently. She uses ammo when she needs to use the special properties or extra power of the ammo, or when she doesn't want to take the time and cost to prepare an ammo-free shot. At the end of a battle, she mentally tallies the spent ammo and items up, then updates her inventory as necessary. Why do we want you to record your ammo, items, and such in your inventories? Because we don't want you to have such a godhack as infinite ammo, we don't want you to shoot 14 shots from a 6-shooter without reloading (which doesn't have to be recorded in your inventory, but that goes along with the point; you should mention reloads mid-battle, too), and we don't want you to go into a battle with 100 ammo, take 90 shots, then be able to take 50 shots in the next battle without restocking. This isn't a movie, so we want things to make sense.

If you want to supply your own/run a shop to supply others (e.g. you want to summon grenades, summon more ammo, build your own stuff, mix chemicals into stuff, yada yada), that is fine. It is allowed. However, like all things, it has to make sense, and it has to be within Level. A Lv4 is not going to be able to just snap its fingers and have enough ammo to run a gatling gun for three days. When you build/mix/whatever something, you have to give some kind of detail. It doesn't have to be rocket science; just mention processes like distillation, stirring, et cetera. You can't just pick chemicals and materials up, too. You have to actually have an explanation as to how you got them, where you got them from, et cetera. If you RP around, participate in missions/the arena, et cetera, you'll have a supply of materials. Just be fair and make sense. Fortunately, the workshop of Leilani and Noah Ivaldi, entitled "Ivaldi Class", can sell a lot of things, so materials are in steady supply.

Relatedly, let's say that you want to make a system that will supply multiple (or all) units of your inventory with ammo/fuel, like Bill's chars. It can be done, but we strongly urge against it. If you rely on only a couple systems or, even worse, just one, that means that someone only has to shut that one system down in order to stop you in your tracks. Exchangeable ammo is cool and all, but it's generally agreed that you shouldn't rely on any one or two things. Expendables can be great because they allow you to kinda' be overpowered by adding a cost to things, thus balancing out, in actual fact, but you have to put at least some thought into them.
