And yes...Shougun was used for very long time Japanese military soldiers so I am not sure if they have some synonym for a modern Japanese general.

No, the part about "boku" being used by comedians to establish a feeling of familiarity with the audience. I think that part of it has to do with the fact that comedians typically portray themselves as immature people, a matter of playing the fool for people to point and laugh at, as well.
That's really wierd. I mean, anyone can use that button on their own posts, and no matter where an admin clicks to edit a post, the edit counter and most recent edit time is not recorded for admins. However, it is ALWAYS recorded for normal users, and I believe that it includes mods (though I have the mod permissions set to disable editing of others' posts, last that I checked, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it). That is a very strange glitch, I suppose.
