Seeking Peepers

Normally, I'd let Tori do the wing-work, but we should stick together for a while. For all that we know, indoor society and outdoor society are worlds apart. Jen-Rumma's house is two blocks east and five south.

‾▿‾Nadia appropriately guided Crevasseus, arms linked. Tori sighed. She had just gotten here, and she's already in an unpleasant situation: She feels restricted. Nadia is completely right. That's the problem. Tori just hates being unable to zip around freely, whether there's a legitimate reason or not. At least there was soothing music from Nadia. To help her wanderlust, Tori didn't stick to simply covering the party's rear or point, but cycled all around, checking every turn and every way as they went.‾▿‾

Crevasseus only listened, nodding to show that he was listening.

‾▿‾The party continued steadily and calmly. Well, calmly. Sorta' calmly. Tori really doesn't like feeling restrained, okay? She's fine, though. Burning up some energy by flitting around to check every street several times over feels good for her. Nadia adds,‾▿‾

Personally, I don't mind blindness as much as others would. I have my music, and my friend has amazing sight.

The girls smiled at each other brightly.

Still, it's not something that I'd like to be stuck with for very long.

"To be honest, it's depressing. I don't even remember what I look like."

He suppressed the urge to sob.

‾▿‾Tori gave Nadia a mischievous smirk. Nadia answered with a broad grin. They suppressed the urge to make a, "Don't worry; there's not much to see!" quip at Crevasseus' statement.‾▿‾

Well, it would seem that that's about to change. We're almost there.

Yeah. It looks like most of the goings-on of the village happen on that main street that we entered on.

[Crevasseus]

"That's reassuring. Thank you again, ladies."

His heart raced and his hand quivered slightly. Crevasseus hadn't been so nervous in his life, nor had he felt such anticipation.

No prob- Ah, hold up.

‾▿‾Nadia noticed that Tori had stopped. After the new girl spoke, Tori answered,‾▿‾

No, I'm a bird tribe laguz! We're new here, too!

Just the same, what are you looking for?

[Crevasseus]

Crevasseus's attention turned toward the direction of the sound and his steps slowed.

Oh, laguz! I haven't met one in person, before.

Well, see, I come from planet Xigun Three in the monogalactic Yaen Universe, Eaerfor dimension-intersection. My people are suffering from a severe curse of drought, so I'm trying to find a way to figure out who worked the curse and how to dispel it. What about you?

It's no big deal. I'm Tori.

Nadia. We're not exactly expert dimension-hoppers, ourselves. That's why we want to go research local culture, before we get ourselves into real trouble.

Crevasseus shifted at the touch of the new person and at the apology shifted back, lifting his hand.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Crevasseus."
